The DP-1088 was designed especially for beginners seeking the look of a full-size electric piano combined with the compact size of a keyboard. A fine selection of sounds

Let’s be honest: For making music in your own living room, you don’t need hundreds of different sounds, which then take a lot of time to select. What you need are a few, but good-sounding, voices. The DP-1088 has 20 of them – and they can be selected in a second.

Intuitive operation

The Function key at the left end of the keyboard provides access to all of the piano’s functions. To keep the musical instrument slim and easy to understand, no additional keys were installed; instead, the existing piano keys are used to control the digital piano. The respective function of each key is clearly visible directly above it, eliminating the need for lengthy study of the manual.

Dual and Split

The “Dual” and “Split” functions allow you to distribute two sounds across the keyboard or play them simultaneously. For example, the “Dual” function makes it easy to combine string and piano sounds. To do this, first hold the FUNCTION key, then the key for the first sound, and finally the key for the second sound. The “Split” function (or “Lower” function) divides the keyboard into two sections. A string sound can be heard in the bass register, while the sound in the treble register can be freely selected.

Twinova function

The Twinova function was created for teachers and students, allowing the keyboard to be split into two halves. This creates two independent keyboards, ideal for demanding piano lessons or practice sessions at home. This way, you can play as if you were playing two separate pianos on a single instrument!

Reverb, chorus and velocity

To further refine your playing, the PD-1088 features touch sensitivity that can be adjusted in five steps or turned off completely. Furthermore, the sounds can be enhanced with reverb and chorus effects.

Powerful stereo speakers, headphones and line connections

Stereo speakers, each with 15 W power, are built into the bottom panel to deliver powerful sound. The headphone outputs, also located on the bottom panel, allow for silent practice. The line input allows playback devices such as smartphones or tablets to be connected to the piano. The 6.3 mm jack line output is ideal for playing in front of larger audiences, allowing the piano to be connected to stereo or PA systems.

The practical keyboard cover with music rest reliably protects the digital piano from dust and dirt; even when closed, the electronic piano makes a great representative instrument in the living room.
