Soundwise and based on the character the SV-800 is closer to a classical tube amplifier the any other hybrid amplifier of Vincent.

Inside of the fully balanced amplifier there are 8 tubes used, which are transfer the signal just at the end to the power transistors. This means the transistors have here only the function of amplifying the signal. The sound character is only “produced” by the tubes.
