Gold HD 2.6 mm is a high-quality vibration-damping material without bitumen additives. This provides an odorless, flexible and easy to install solution with improved adhesion. It protects the metal surface against corrosion and provides long-term stability. The material has a thickness of 2.6 mm and a mechanical loss factor of more than 0.33. The outer aluminum foil has a thickness of 90 micrometers and provides extra strength. With a mass of 4.1 kg per square meter, Gold HD offers excellent cushioning. Gold HD functions reliably at temperatures from -40 to +90 degrees Celsius. It can withstand peak temperatures of up to 150 degrees without any loss of quality. The adhesion to metal surfaces is higher than 6 N/cm, which ensures a strong bond. The material consists of three layers: A self-adhesive layer protected by anti-stick paper. An advanced butyl polymer layer for optimal cushioning. An aluminum foil that provides extra strength and durability. Gold HD is suitable for application on the bulkhead, floor and wheel arches. For proper installation, the surface must be clean, dry and free of grease. Application takes place at an ambient temperature between 18 and 30 degrees Celsius. During installation, air entrapment must be avoided for the best insulation value. The material should be stored on a flat surface at a temperature below 40 degrees. Avoid contact with oil, moisture and direct sunlight. To prevent damage, it should not be stacked higher than one meter.
