The USB-to-Host port is used to connect the UP-1Plus to computers, tablets, and laptops. Through the common app stores you can pair the UP-1Plus with popular piano apps like Flowkey, Skoove or Simplypiano. Layer and Split Functions

The “Layer” and “Split” functions let you comfortably stack and combine two sounds. This allows you to create impressive sonic landscapes. The Split function lets you divide the keyboard so that, for example, strings sound with the left hand and piano with the right. The volume of both zones can be adjusted separately for each side.

Twinova Function

The Twinova function was developed for teachers and students and enables the keyboard and pedals to be split into two halves. This creates two independent keyboards, ideal for demanding piano lessons or practice sessions at home. The pedals can also be assigned individually to left and right. That way you can play as if on two separate pianos using just one instrument!

Extensive Connectivity With USB MP3 Player & Recorder

Another revolution is the extensive connectivity and the built-in MP3 recorder of the UP-1. The 6.3 mm jack microphone/AUX input also makes the piano attractive for entertainers. With the integrated USB MP3 recorder you can make recordings directly to a USB stick. The clever part: all signals (vocals, key strikes and any external audio sources) are saved into a single stereo MP3 file. If the built-in hi-fi speakers do not meet your requirements, the stereo AUX output allows connection to a PA system or active speakers.

Transpose Function

The transpose functions let you shift the instrument in semitone steps. This makes it easy to adapt optimally to other tuning environments, tunings, and ensembles.

Metronome and Headphone Sockets

To stay in time, the UP-1Plus features an integrated metronome which, in addition to displaying beats per minute, also shows Italian tempo markings (Adagio, Andante, Allegro, etc.). The tempo can be adjusted continuously via a dial. Two headphone jacks ensure trouble-free playing in the evening or at night when you don’t want to disturb others.

3 Pedals for Maximum Dynamic Control

Like a grand piano, the UP-1Plus offers three pedals that influence tone and dynamics: the soft pedal, played with the left foot; the sostenuto pedal; and the damper pedal, which lets notes decay. The sostenuto pedal sustains notes that have already been played, while the soft pedal produces a softer tonal character.

Hi-Fi Speaker System With Preset EQ

For punchy sound the UP-1Plus features a built-in stereo hi-fi speaker system, which can be tailored to your needs via the integrated equalizer with six presets.

Above all, the arrangement of the four speakers ensures excellent sound: The two bass speakers are mounted on the underside of the keyboard cabinet. From there they direct the sound downward, and the sound reflected from the floor creates a very natural room ambience. As a real highlight in this price class, the two speakers for the high frequencies are aimed directly at the pianist. This special arrangement results in an exceptionally nuanced sound image with full character. With the USB and AUX inputs, playback of external sound sources also becomes a delight for the ears.

OLED Display

The highly legible OLED display provides the best overview in any playing situation and shows, besides the selected sound, the metronome tempo, the chosen time signature, and other useful information.
