The AAD51CE is part of Ibanez’s Advanced Acoustic series, developed to push acoustic guitar design beyond traditional limits. Its Grand Dreadnought body was engineered to increase volume, strengthen low-end response and improve overall projection, giving the guitar a bold, room-filling voice. Despite its powerful output, the body remains comfortable thanks to carefully considered ergonomics, including refined contours and balanced proportions. This allows players to enjoy a larger acoustic sound without the fatigue often associated with oversized body shapes, making it equally suitable for long practice sessions, recording work and live performance.

Balanced spruce and sapele tone

A solid Sitka spruce top delivers crisp highs, focused mids and a responsive low end that reacts dynamically to your playing style. Light strumming produces clarity and shimmer, while heavier attack brings out punch and projection. This is paired with sapele back and sides, which add warmth, depth and tonal balance while keeping the sound clear and controlled. Together, these tonewoods create a versatile acoustic voice that translates well across genres, working equally effectively for strumming-heavy styles, fingerstyle playing and amplified use.

Comfort-focused playability

The low oval grip okoume neck is shaped for smooth chord changes and reduced hand fatigue, making it ideal for extended playing sessions. Its profile feels familiar and approachable, especially for players moving between electric and acoustic guitars. A functional tapered headstock improves tuning stability through straighter string alignment while also reducing overall weight at the headstock. Combined with the advanced access cutaway, which allows easy reach beyond the 18th fret, the AAD51CE encourages more expressive playing across the entire neck.

Stage-ready electronics and features

Equipped with a T-bar undersaddle pickup and AEQ-TP2 preamp, the AAD51CE is ready for both stage and studio use straight out of the case. The system delivers clear, natural amplified tone that accurately reflects the guitar’s acoustic character, while simple bass and treble controls make on-the-fly adjustments easy. An onboard tuner keeps tuning quick and discreet, and balanced XLR and standard jack outputs allow flexible connection to PA systems or recording gear. The A.I.R.port further enhances player monitoring, helping you hear yourself more clearly in live situations.
