The heart of this revolution lies in the A.I.R Port technology. After rigorous research and development, a unique internal structure was designed that guides sound waves to exit through a precisely positioned sound hole. The result? A playing experience that lets you monitor your performance more distinctly, thereby enhancing the overall musical journey. Built into a reimagined body shape, the AAM50-OPN features Advanced Auditorium body shape offers a richer low mids and an improved body to weight balance. This is achieved by slightly widening the waist and shifting it towards the neck, addressing the shortcomings of conventional Auditorium bodies.

Comfort is matched with sound quality, with a proprietary construction technique, X-M bracing has been specifically-designed to deliver maximum resonance. X-M Bracing for Optimized Sound Projection

After years of research and experimentation, Ibanez has developed its proprietary X-M bracing system exclusively for the Advanced Auditorium body in the AAM series. The scalloped X-M bracing, combined with carefully positioned tone braces and finger braces, efficiently transmit string vibration from the bridge to the body. This results in a wide dynamic range, excellent response, and a balanced tone. The mids are slightly scooped for better tonal balance, while the treble offers the clarity of steel strings with the warmth usually associated with nylon strings.
