Immersive Movies and Music

If you don’t have dedicated speakers, you can still enjoy surround sound tracks with Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer and DTS Virtual:X. Spatial audio doesn’t stop with movies. Dolby Atmos Music is supported via specialized tracks played from optional HDMI or streaming sources.
IMAX Enhanced
Upgrade your movie watching by playing IMAX Enhanced optimized content through the VSX-835. With IMAX Enhanced Mode, the VSX-835 can effectively play back these digital remastered films, which adhere to IMAX’s strict performance standards regarding audio fidelity, color, brightness, and contrast.
Advanced Sound Retriever
This feature is designed to improve the quality of your digital library by restoring the output quality of compressed audio formats, such as MP3, WMA, and AAC to lossless quality.
Custom Audio Room Tuning
Included with the VSX-835 is an MCACC microphone and auto room tuning software. They work together to automatically calibrate the audio output for your room, compensating for differences in speaker size, level, and distance, giving you the best sound quality possible.
