Very Lightweight Djembe with Rich Sound!

XDrum delivers the sound of West Africa in a small, lightweight version. Using a durable plastic head and the compact size makes this goblet drum a popular and easy-to-handle percussion instrument.

Body Made of PVC

The shell of the djembe is produced in a patented process from PVC plastic, making the entire drum significantly lighter than its wooden counterparts. However, it does not fall short in sound: deep basses and crisp slaps can be produced just as well as sensitive strokes. The lower edge is rubberized to prevent scratches on the floor.

Traditional Tuning System

The head is held and tuned with ropes. Tuning is done using a special knotting technique, allowing the sound to be adjusted to personal preferences. Woven into the rope system is a carrying strap, making the djembe easy to carry by hand or hang on a strap.

The Drumhead

The XDrum djembe is fitted with a plastic head that is visually and acoustically hardly distinguishable from a goatskin head. The advantage of the synthetic head is that it is much more resistant to temperature changes and humidity.
